We have dedicated our business to the memory of our precious mother.
Our children called her Mamaw, hence, Mamaw's Fried Pies.
We grew
up in Adger, Alabama with three sisters and one brother. What a treat it was as children when the apples and
peaches that grew at our old home place came in season. Mother would spend hours making fried pies for all
six of us kids from whatever fruit was available. We'd sit on the front porch eating the pies, and they were gone
in no time. It was a true labor of love on Mother's part. Even now, it is one of our fondest memories.
Our mother shared her recipe for fried pies with us, and we carried on the tradition with
our families. After years of pursuing other careers, we decided to follow the passions of our hearts and share Mother's pies with
others.
We began our business selling the pies at local
fairs and festivals. We initially made the pies at the events, but soon discovered we needed a commercial kitchen
to keep up with the demand. We found the perfect shoppe location in our hometown of Whitehouse, Texas.
We hope y'all enjoy our pies as much as we enjoy making and sharing
them. Who knows......you may find yourself reliving or creating some southern fried memories of your
own!
