Twin sisters Nell Hoce and Sandra Harvell grew up in Alabama with 3 additional sisters and 1 brother.
Our mother shared her recipe for fried pies and for many years we shared this fabulous and delicious treat
with our families. After years of performing other jobs, we decided to follow the passions of our hearts and share this
tasty treat with others.
We have dedicated our business in honor of our mother. Our children
called her Mamaw, hence, Mamaw's Fried Pies LLC. We first purchased a concession trailer, traveling to area fairs
and festivals. We made the pies at each fair and festival but discovered we needed a commercial kitchen
to make and store the pies in advance to keep up with the demand at each event. We found the perfect space in Whitehouse,
Texas. Close to home, we are able to work the schedules as needed to keep up with the demand and still spend
time with our families.
Our sweet pie flavors are peach, apple, apricot, cherry, chocolate, lemon, pecan,
pineapple and coconut.
Our savory pies include a delicious breakfast pie filled with sausage,
egg and cheese, a Louisiana meat pie which is quite spicy and a pizza pie filled with sauce, pepperoni and chesse.
We are extremely grateful for the support, encouragement and suggestions of our families. We couldn't have
achieved this endeavor without them especially our mother.
